{"id":1648,"date":"2021-03-23T16:30:26","date_gmt":"2021-03-23T13:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/safe-cat.com\/?p=1648"},"modified":"2021-03-29T15:37:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T12:37:46","slug":"methanol-distillation-and-off-gases-purification-unit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/safecat.ru\/en\/news\/methanol-distillation-and-off-gases-purification-unit","title":{"rendered":"Off-gas purification and methanol distillation unit: basic design completed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/safecat.ru\/en\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/flue-gas-treatment-unit-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1136 size-medium\" title=\"Treatment line for chemical plant process off-gases\" src=\"https:\/\/safecat.ru\/en\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/flue-gas-treatment-unit-1-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Treatment line for chemical plant process off-gases\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/safecat.ru\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/flue-gas-treatment-unit-1-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/safecat.ru\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/flue-gas-treatment-unit-1.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The works on the basic design of the off-gases treatment and methanol distillation unit, which is a part of the off<strong>&#8212;<\/strong>plant<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>facilities system of the large methanol production complex with a capacity of 1.0 million tons per year (Skovorodino, Amur Region), have been successfully completed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The source of exhaust gas generation is the main production facilities, namely sections of raw methanol tanks located in the tank farm, as well as tanks of the commodity park, tanks on the railway loading rack, methanol water tanks, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The technological scheme of the unit includes several stages: purification of exhaust gases in a scrubber to the required concentration of methanol and further neutralization of the resulting gas-air mixture in a <i>SafeCAT<\/i> catalytic reactor. Methanol water coming out of production process of the purification system as well as effluents from methanol water tanks are returned to the distillation column for methanol distillation.
